On August 27, 2026, the Department of Justice announced the creation, in the fall, of a unit dedicated to mediation in cases involving the international wrongful removal of children.
This unit, to be established within the Civil Affairs and Seal Division, is intended to help guide families and facilitate coordination among professionals.
